Joe serves as a member of the Birchwood Strategic Advisory Board, the Executive Chairman of MPAC Healthcare, and the Executive Chairman of Birchwood’s Post-Acute Platform. He has been a healthcare executive for over 35 years.
Joe successfully led high-growth companies providing services nationwide in the areas of post-acute rehabilitation therapy, institutional pharmacy, and nurse practitioner medical care. In addition to his post-acute sector experience, Joe has also led nationwide diagnostic imaging and radiology benefit management companies. Additionally, Joe has in-depth experience structuring value and risk-based provider networks in partnership with commercial payers, health systems, and peer provider groups.
Prior to his career in healthcare, Joe held staff positions in the US Senate and Federal Government. In addition, Joe has served on numerous corporate and charitable boards.
Mr. McDonough and his family currently divide their time between Naples, FL, and Atlanta, GA.
