Sarah served as a Partner at Birchwood from 2015 – 2023 and is now a Special Advisor. While at Birchwood, she was responsible for the underwriting and execution of new transactions, and the monitoring and management of existing investments.
Prior to Birchwood, Ms. Jacoby was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at SAC Capital Advisors where she specialized in conducting diligence, negotiating legal documentation, and managing private middle market junior debt and equity investments across a wide range of industries. While at SAC, Sarah completed approximately 15 portfolio investments totaling approximately $400 million. Prior to SAC, Ms. Jacoby worked at First Atlantic Capital, a private equity fund with approximately $500 million under management, where she was a Vice President. Ms. Jacoby began her career as a consultant for New York Consulting Partners, a boutique consulting firm focused on operational and supply chain management issues and strategy for private equity portfolio companies.
Ms. Jacoby holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
